Description
The contractor will provide the complete rough carpentry scope for the Vista Continuation High School new campus, including wood studs, plates, sills, joists, rafters, blocking, furring, nailers, plywood panel sheathing for walls, floors, and roof decking, glulam beams and columns, prefabricated roof and floor trusses, ledger boards, backing, treated wood, anchorage hardware, connectors, temporary bracing, and related field cutting, fitting, and installation. The scope also includes shop drawings and layout diagrams for glulam framing, trusses, and complex framing conditions; coordination with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades; rough openings; fire-blocking and draft-stopping; as-built framing documentation; project-management submittals; and protection of the contractor's work. The project is a prevailing-wage public works contract with a stated estimated bid value of $1,903,314.70, a 10 percent bid bond, 100 percent payment and performance bonds, required contractor prequalification, and a required California C-5 or B license. The contract duration is anticipated to be 490 calendar days.
