Description
The City of Cape Girardeau is soliciting proposals from design-build entities to prepare plans and specifications and remodel Fire Station 1 under a design-build contract with a guaranteed maximum price. The project budget is $1.5 million, including design and construction fees. The scope includes exterior window replacement; HVAC and ductwork replacement; interior painting; ceiling, flooring, door, wall, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, smoke alarm, emergency lighting, communications, security, and alarm-system work; bathroom remodeling; kitchen and cabinet improvements; repair of the spiral staircase; conversion of an open dormitory into eight bunk rooms; office, locker-room, conference-room, breakroom, pantry, and training-room modifications; and related engine-bay improvements. Proposals must describe the project team, relevant fire-station and design-build experience, site and program understanding, project approach, budget analysis, and schedule, and may not exceed 25 double-sided or 50 single-sided pages.
