Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for a planned design-bid-build project to upgrade infrastructure at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. The anticipated construction scope includes electrical panels and normal and emergency power, bonding, UPS systems, building-management-system interfaces, HVAC assessment and upgrades, space reconfiguration and renovation, data outlets and patch panels, Cat 6A cabling, physical security, campus fiber and WAN pathways, and hazardous-material abatement. Work is identified across multiple buildings and the site. This is a Sources Sought notice, not a solicitation or request for a bid or proposal. Interested firms are asked to submit a capability statement of no more than eight single-sided pages, including company and business-size information, a statement of interest, a bonding-company letter of intent showing available prime-contractor bonding capacity, and up to three comparable projects performed within the past seven years, with project details and descriptions of relevant experience and self-performed work. The response must be a single application-generated PDF no larger than 4 MB, with a required cover page, and must be emailed with the Sources Sought number and project title in the subject line. The project magnitude is stated as $20 million–$30 million, and its estimated duration is 547 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
