Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting bids for Project 676-22-110 to upgrade the fire alarm system at the Tomah VA Medical Center. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, engineering and installation support, testing, commissioning, infection-control measures, demolition of existing components, and related civil and electrical work in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The project includes new fire alarm devices, panels, wiring, conduit, interfaces with access-control and HVAC systems, emergency radio and other facility systems, removal of existing devices and pathways, and phased operation of the existing system until the replacement system is functional. Amendment A0003 extends the offer deadline to November 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time and changes the total period of performance to 460 calendar days after the notice to proceed. The amendment also extends the preconstruction submission period from 20 to 60 days, confirms that only the base-bid lump sum will be evaluated, and provides updated drawings, an addendum, and RFI responses. The solicitation remains a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside, and joint ventures must submit their agreement and printed proof of applicable SBA certification with the bid.
