Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting bids for the upgrade of the fire alarm system at the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, Wisconsin. The project involves replacing the entire campus-wide fire alarm system, including all existing devices and wiring, building control panels, radio receivers, smoke detectors, pull stations, strobes, relays, sprinkler alarms, and local announcement microphones. The main alarm control stations in the Firehouse (Building 36) and for Emergency Dispatch (Building 407) will also be replaced. The fire alarm system will be extended to out-buildings not currently covered by the existing system. The existing system is to remain active until the new system is in place. The project also includes demolition of the existing system, installation of new fire alarm devices, and associated electrical and civil work. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The project is expected to be completed within 420 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed.
