Description
Alexandria Community School Corporation is soliciting proposals for symmetrical, scalable Internet access and standalone WAN data transmission services. The requested service must provide guaranteed throughput, with pricing options in approximately 1 Gbps increments and scalability from approximately 2 Gbps to 5 Gbps. The WAN service will connect the district’s administrative building and high school, with service demarcated in designated network closets. Proposals may use any transmission medium, including fiber, hybrid networks, cable, DSL, copper, satellite, or microwave, and must describe the proposed topology, pathways, handoffs, provider-owned equipment, and any third-party leased lines. Proposals must include complete recurring and nonrecurring pricing, applicable discounts, construction and installation details, a proposed service-level agreement, 24x7x365 trouble reporting, outage repair commitments, service reports, three similar-service references, the bidder’s E-Rate SPIN number, and a ready-to-execute or sample contract. The service must support approximately 16 public IPv4 addresses, optional IPv6 pricing, service-level changes during the contract term, and delivery by July 1, 2027. The requested contract term is approximately three to five years, with voluntary extensions considered; open-ended or automatically renewing terms are not acceptable.
