Description
The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) is soliciting bids for the renovation of two multi-family residential buildings located at 1312-16 S Harding Ave and 1323-39 S Kedzie Ave in Chicago, Illinois. The project involves interior and exterior renovations of 18 units per building (36 total), all currently unoccupied. Work includes exterior improvements to all facades, new enclosed main and rear entrances, new parking lot, walkways, patio, fencing, and landscaping. Interior alterations include new electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, new interior finishes (studs, drywall, paint, flooring, doors, hardware, kitchen layout, casework, lighting), and roofing improvements. Each unit will have its own mechanical room. Appliances will be furnished and installed by the CHA. Contractors may bid on one or both buildings, and the CHA reserves the right to award to one or multiple contractors. A deduction for efficiencies is required if awarded both projects. The contract is a firm fixed-price contract with a substantial completion date of November 30, 2027.
