Description
Scotland Public Library is soliciting proposals for standalone Internet access service delivered over its existing dark fiber infrastructure and 20-year dark fiber contract. Required capacity ranges from 25 Mbps to 1 Gbps, and the proposed service must be compatible with the library’s existing fiber network and contract. The library will evaluate price, technical compatibility, local or in-state vendor status, other service factors, customer service, and past performance. Proposals should address static IP addressing, bandwidth bursting, connectivity to state library data systems and research networks, content filtering, direct connectivity to major content providers, flexible usage-based rates, local support, and DDoS security protections and consulting. The requested contract term is five years, and the proposal must include authorization to do business in Connecticut, applicable vendor identifiers, designated contacts, proposed contract terms and conditions, and availability to assist with E-rate applications during October 2026.
