Description
St. Joseph County is soliciting sealed bids for the SW-92602 Knollwood Drainage Improvements project. The work includes curb removal, pavement and earth excavation, permanent erosion-control measures, curb installation, pavement replacement, and placement of a Portland cement concrete pavement driveway. Each bid must include either a certified check payable to St. Joseph County or a bid bond executed by the bidder and surety company for at least 10% of the total bid, together with a non-collusive affidavit using Form 96, Revised 2026. The awarded bidder must furnish separate payment, performance, and maintenance bonds before commencing work. Payment and performance bonds must each equal the awarded contract amount and remain in effect throughout construction; the maintenance bond is 10% of the awarded contract amount and remains in effect for up to five years after final acceptance. Bidders should also review the project's affirmative-action requirements and insurance provisions.
