Description
The City of West Columbia is requesting statements of qualifications from consulting engineering firms for the Lee Circle Water Main Replacement project. The project will abandon a damaged water-main section and establish a multidirectional feed for the water distribution system near Springdale, South Carolina, including approximately 4,400 linear feet of six-inch water main and associated appurtenances along Lee Circle, Kitty Hawk Drive, and Durham Drive. The selected consultant will provide project coordination; field surveying, right-of-way determinations, and geotechnical investigation; detailed design and signed/sealed calculations; construction drawings, technical specifications, contract documents, and engineer’s estimates; easement-acquisition support; SCDHEC, Lexington County Stormwater, and SCDOT permitting; bidding-period assistance; and construction-period contract administration, shop-drawing and payment-application review, closeout, as-built preparation, and full-time construction observation. Qualification submissions are evaluated on team experience, personnel qualifications, project understanding and approach, schedule and coordination, and eligible local-vendor preference.
