Description
Broward County is conducting a Request for Information to determine whether alternative suppliers can provide engineering, repair, maintenance, retrofits, and replacement parts for six ZPMC ship-to-shore cranes. The proposed sole-source/sole-brand suppliers are Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. and ZPMC NA East Coast Inc.; this is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment. Respondents must indicate whether they can provide components and assemblies meeting or exceeding ZPMC engineering, performance, material, compatibility, safety, and reliability requirements. The requested capabilities include mechanical, electrical, structural, and control-system integration; compatibility certification; quality assurance and testing; timely supply of critical components; technical support including installation, troubleshooting, and documentation; and demonstrated past performance supporting comparable heavy-lift or port crane systems. Responses and supporting documentation must be submitted through the electronic bidding system.
