Description
The U.S. Coast Guard requires land-based crane services and associated support for two Government-directed lift evolutions involving removal of the existing MK38 Mod 3 gun mount system from USCGC Myrtle Hazard and installation of a replacement system. The contractor must furnish a certified hydraulic mobile crane with adequate capacity, reach, and radius; certified operators; qualified riggers and signalpersons; slings, shackles, spreader bars if required, tag lines, hooks, blocks, outrigger pads or mats, safety equipment, mobilization, setup, repositioning, staging, and demobilization. The estimated load is approximately 3,000 pounds, with an estimated reach of 40 to 50 feet from the pier to the mount position. The contractor must verify site conditions, lift radius, crane placement, and lift weights; provide ground-bearing-pressure and outrigger-pad calculations; prepare a crane lift plan for Government approval; comply with OSHA, ASME, manufacturer, and local requirements; and provide qualified personnel, equipment certifications, inspection records, safety documentation, and other requested records. The first lift is scheduled for October 5, 2026, and the second for October 13, 2026. Quotes must include detailed cost information, product or service details, warranty information, payment terms, prompt-payment discount, UEI, and CAGE Code.
