Description
The City of San Diego is soliciting bids for a five-year potential contract consisting of a one-year base term and four one-year renewal options to furnish San Diego Police Department recruits with specified uniforms, training apparel, and equipment. Required goods include Dickies dark navy uniforms and cargo pants, leather belts and nameplates, physical-training shirts and shorts, combination locks, duty belts, magazine pouches, belt keepers, radio holsters, shooting glasses, earmuffs, reflective safety vests, approved Glock 17-compatible holsters, handcuff keys, pistol-cleaning kits, and patrol-style gear bags. Required engraving and printing must be included in unit prices, and alternative equivalents are not acceptable for specified Dickies items. The contractor must maintain a physical voucher-exchange location within San Diego County and within a 45-mile driving distance of SDPD Headquarters, provide on-site alteration services, maintain inventory for at least 50 recruits per academy class, and support approximately 200 recruits annually. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, and bidders must price all listed items. The solicitation requires a completed and signed ITB signature page, Contractor Standards Pledge of Compliance, Equal Opportunity Contracting forms, and any requested exceptions; insurance and other contract-execution documents are required only after notice of intent to award.
