Description
The Bi-State Joint Purchasing Council is soliciting sealed bids for three ice-melt product lines: 343 50-pound bags of sodium chloride/calcium chloride with accelerator melting to -15°F, 50 1,100-pound totes of the same product, and 196 50-pound bags of Sno-Plow ice melt containing specified magnesium chloride and sodium chloride blends and melting to -27°F. Products must meet detailed safety, storage, packaging, solubility, vegetation, surface-protection, and non-clumping requirements. Substitutions are generally prohibited at delivery, and product specifications, safety data sheets, and storage-life test data are required with the bid. Product samples may be requested. The awarded vendor must include freight and delivery charges, complete initial deliveries by October 23, 2026, and maintain firm pricing and product supply for additional orders through April 1, 2027. Additional orders must be delivered within three business days of the applicable purchase order or confirmation. The bid will be awarded by line item to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on specifications, price, quality, and delivery time.
