Description
The City of Grand Ledge seeks a consultant for airport planning, architectural and engineering design, and construction administration services supporting Abrams Municipal Airport’s Five-Year Airport Capital Improvement Plan for 2027–2031. Potential work includes land and easement acquisition, obstruction marking, lighting and removal, hangar taxilane design and rehabilitation, and T-hangar design and construction. Projects may be initiated over the five-year period and negotiated independently; not all listed work is guaranteed to be contracted. Qualified land acquisition services are limited to easements for approach clearing shown on the approved airport layout plan; other new-development or approach acquisition work requires a separate procurement. This is a quality-based selection. Statements of Qualifications must exclude fees and costs. Firms are evaluated on airport familiarity, aviation consulting background, similar project experience, personnel qualifications, knowledge of FAA and state requirements, and recent project success. At least three airport references within Michigan are required. Interviews may be conducted at the Sponsor’s discretion.
