Description
Bucks County is soliciting bids for the removal and disposal of an existing pool pump and the purchase and installation of a new pump system at Oxford Valley Park Pool. The scope includes a 20-horsepower horizontal pump, a 20-horsepower variable frequency drive, pump stand, 6-inch butterfly valve, Schedule 80 pipe and fittings, stainless-steel hardware, conduit replacement as needed, piping modifications, flow-meter connection and calibration, and startup and commissioning of the drive and pump motor. The specified pump is a Speck Normblock Multi-Series Model 125/250 with no substitutes, and the specified butterfly valve is a Praher K4 with no substitutes. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, permits, and related work necessary for a complete and functional installation. Work is limited to Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; weekend work is not permitted. The manufacturer’s standard pump warranty is required. The bid package also requires a signed agreement, electronic questionnaire and bid-table responses, contractor qualification information, bid security, and other listed certifications and affidavits. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit is required, and the contract includes prevailing-wage, insurance, bonding, and self-performance requirements.
