Atlantic County is soliciting proposals for a gun violence prevention program serving county youth in sixth and seventh grade during the period January 1 through December 31, 2027, with up to three additional one-year renewal options subject to funding, monitoring results, and County discretion. The program must provide direct professional services, including an initial youth and family needs assessment, evidence-based weekly group counseling, workshops, speakers, mentoring, family engagement, mediation when applicable, activities and incentives, and referrals or linkages to community-based mentoring, mediation, and employment resources. The program is intended to reduce youth involvement in violent crimes involving weapons and prevent entry into the juvenile justice system. Proposals must include a one-page program summary, detailed line-item budget and narrative, organizational history, a program narrative of no more than 10 pages, levels and units of service, collaboration and support information, letters of support, and specified organizational, policy, audit, board, and ethics attachments. The stated allocation is $90,000, and indirect costs may not exceed 8 percent. Applicants must demonstrate relevant youth-services experience, provide required certifications and proposal forms, and submit proof of insurance. The selected provider must support annual monitoring, quarterly programmatic reporting, client information forms, and continuity of service when in-person delivery is not possible, including secure online delivery where needed.
