Description
Auburn University is soliciting a sealed bid for the refurbishment of one client-supplied 38-foot medical mobile unit. The contractor must collect the unit in Birmingham, Alabama, perform the refurbishment, and return it to Auburn, Alabama. The work includes removing existing medical beds and equipment; patching and repairing walls and ceilings; inspecting electrical, lighting, HVAC, and the generator; removing the existing graphic wrap; producing and installing exterior and interior graphics; and managing production, coordination, setup, testing, purchasing, and related administration. The scope also includes supplying and installing two powered exam tables, Welch Allyn kits, physicians' stools, wall-mounted dispensers, commercial LVP flooring, replacement cabinetry and countertops, a bulkhead wall and door, two internet-capable televisions, and a 1.7-cubic-foot medical refrigerator. Cabinetry and countertop replacement, graphics, and other refurbishment requirements may change based on findings during the refurbishment process. The requested turnaround is approximately eight to ten weeks, with the completed unit needed in mid-to-late January.
