Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to add arc flash hazard analysis work to an existing electrical distribution testing contract. The scope includes field verification and collection of electrical system data; short-circuit calculations; protective-device coordination analysis and settings; arc-flash incident-energy and boundary calculations; and machine-printed warning labels. The contractor must also provide a briefing, reports and calculations, updated or developed single-line diagrams, and compatible study data files. Work requires onsite data collection and equipment access, with work performed under the supervision and approval of a registered professional electrical engineer with at least five years of relevant experience. This is a notice of intent for a sole-source contract modification to SDV Services Inc., not a request for competitive quotes. Firms believing they can meet the requirement may submit capability information and customer references by email. The notice states that the work is a one-time, firm-fixed-price modification, and that the work will be included in a new competitive requirement in FY27.
