Description
Greenville County seeks a contractor to partially close Unit 2 of the Class 2 landfill. Work includes installing erosion and sediment controls, constructing a stormwater pond and perimeter berm, preparing and fine-grading subgrade, building a stone access road, placing erosion-control blankets and seeding, and installing gabion baskets. The project involves approximately 301,000 cubic yards of excavation and 120,000 cubic yards of structural fill; remaining excavated material will be stockpiled within the landfill footprint. The contractor must provide a South Carolina-licensed land surveyor for survey control and as-built surveys, and engage a South Carolina-licensed firm for soil testing and related documentation. The County seeks substantial completion within 210 calendar days. The response must include a project approach and schedule, qualifications and relevant project experience, equipment information, references, South Carolina licensing evidence, and pricing using the provided proposal form. A 5% bid bond is due with the proposal; performance and payment bonds are required from the successful bidder after acceptance.
