Description
The City of Odessa is soliciting bids for the production, delivery, and installation of a complete dry chemical metering and quick-lime slaking system for its Water Department. The specified system includes one volumetric feeder compatible with a Barracuda 3000P Pebble Quick Lime feeder, a 600-pound-per-hour detention slaker, slurry mixer, surface rake assembly, vapor and dust arrestor, grit conveyor and washer, dilution water system, control valves, sensors, piping, junction box, and a NEMA 4X stainless-steel control panel. The system must meet detailed electrical, material, capacity, control, alarm, and instrumentation specifications, including 480 VAC, three-phase power; 304 stainless-steel construction for specified components; automated feeder, mixer, grit-removal, vapor-exhaust, slaking-water, dilution-water, and cooling controls; and specified temperature, pressure, torque, overload, and fault alarms. Substitute materials or work are not permitted. Bidders must include an estimated delivery and installation date, lump-sum pricing, and the number of scheduled downtime days.
