Description
The City of Chattanooga is soliciting bids for upgrades to the Third Floor Archive at the Chattanooga Public Library. This project involves creating a secure area for archival records and upgrading the existing Restricted Archive Room to meet full archival standards. The scope of work includes demolition, wall and roof patching, repairs, drywall installation, finishes, storefront modifications, HVAC system upgrades, and electrical work. Additionally, modifications will be made to the existing fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, and existing exterior doors will be upgraded with electronic controls. The project also includes provisions for a new 50-amp or larger 208-volt electrical service from an existing panel in room Restricted Archives 3-81, with the contractor responsible for providing the temporary breaker and connection. An allowance of $5,500.00 is included for work related to the existing roof warranty. Bidders must be licensed and comply with the State of Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act. The bid opening has been extended to July 9, 2026.
