Description
The City of Cortez is seeking a qualified firm to perform an engineering assessment and condition inspection of approximately four miles of raw water transmission pipeline, consisting of 24-inch and 30-inch prestressed concrete cylinder pipe. The contractor must use nondestructive inspection technology capable of assessing prestressing wire condition, identifying structural deficiencies, and navigating existing 24-inch butterfly valves. The work includes developing and implementing a method to extract the inspection device, including designing and constructing any required extraction point and coordinating subcontractors as needed. The contractor must evaluate pipeline structural condition and remaining useful life, locate potential deficiencies, and provide a comprehensive engineering report with recommendations for maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, or replacement.
