Description
La Plata County seeks a full-service tourism marketing contractor to develop and execute a strategic program promoting responsible visitation, supporting local businesses, building the County's brand, and encouraging year-round tourism. Work includes annual marketing plans; branding and creative production; tourism website content and management; search, digital, and social media campaigns; paid media planning and buying; public relations; community and tourism-partner engagement; visitor information; and monthly and annual performance and expenditure reporting. The contractor must ensure activities and spending comply with applicable lodging-tax requirements. The County has stated a budget of $205,000 for 2027, encompassing all costs, and anticipates that the annual budget will not fall below that amount during the contracted period. One contract will cover the full scope. Subcontracting is permitted, but the County will contract only with the prime offeror, and requirements such as local or regional preference eligibility must be met by the prime. Tourism marketing social media accounts must be built separately from the County's accounts. The Lodging Tax Committee meets monthly, and remote attendance is acceptable. The entire submittal is limited to 30 pages; signed addenda do not count toward that limit. Respondents must acknowledge all addenda and return the signed acknowledgment with their response.
