Description
The City of Angels is seeking a contractor to remove and replace approximately 350 to 370 linear feet of 6-inch gravity sanitary sewer main within the Caltrans right-of-way along SR49. The work includes excavation, trench protection and backfill, installation of SDR-26 PVC sewer pipe, connections to existing manholes, testing, and restoration of affected pavement, concrete, landscaping, stairwells, railings, striping, and signage. The contractor must maintain sewer service through temporary bypass pumping, provide traffic control and night work for the Stockton Street crossing, maintain access to residences and businesses, and perform stormwater, erosion, dust, safety, and environmental controls. The anticipated total bid price is approximately $425,000, with an expected construction duration of 10 working days. American Iron and Steel requirements apply, with stated waivers for de minimis components, minor components, and pig iron/direct reduced iron.
