Description
NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center is conducting market research for a brand-name-or-equal electrically heated batch walk-in oven, Wisconsin Oven Model Batch-8/16/8-E10/RM, for controlled thermal processing of composite thermoplastic materials and components. The requirement includes a chamber measuring approximately 8 feet by 16 feet by 8 feet, operation up to 1,000°F, specified temperature uniformity, 408 kW heating, high-capacity recirculation and exhaust systems, specialized controls, vacuum piping and manifold, thermocouple connections, safety features, data communications, and compliance with NEC and NFPA 79 and 86. The requirement also includes a customized filament-winding cart, a 3-inch rotational chuck, testing and documentation, shipping, on-site installation, and training. The oven must include a minimum three-year warranty covering materials, components, and defect-related labor. This is a Sources Sought notice rather than a solicitation; respondents are asked to submit capability statements, technical literature, references, and feedback regarding small-business participation and subcontracting opportunities.
