LEGAL NO. 19803. Description
Taos Municipal Schools is seeking qualification-based competitive sealed proposals from qualified commercial fire alarm installation companies to replace one existing fire alarm system at Taos High School. The selected contractor must perform a site assessment; design an addressable, code-compliant system; prepare sealed engineered drawings and AHJ plan-review materials; obtain required permits and maintain appropriate New Mexico licensing and certification; remove obsolete equipment; install the new control panel, notification appliances, detectors, pull stations, annunciators, wiring, conduits, and related components; and repair affected walls, ceilings, and entry points. The scope also includes scheduling rough-in and acceptance inspections, testing and commissioning the system, providing as-built drawings, completion certificates, testing reports, manuals, maintenance instructions, spare-parts information, and owner training. Proposers must provide pricing, change-order estimates, staffing information, equipment lists, licensing or certification proof, general liability insurance documentation, workers' compensation verification, vehicle and equipment insurance proof, and a proposed warranty and maintenance approach. The contract may include ongoing annual inspection, testing, and repair services, and proprietary-system proposals must include discounted future parts, labor, inspection, and repair pricing.
