Description
The City of Kinston is soliciting bids to rehabilitate two homes. Work described in the cost estimates includes roofing and fascia repairs, vinyl siding replacement, porch railings and supports, a temporary accessibility ramp, concrete steps, drywall and ceiling repairs, painting, and floor and subfloor repairs. The full scope and pricing are provided in the cost estimate forms. Bidders must price each property individually and may also submit a discounted combined bid. The submission must include a completed bid sheet and cost estimate for each unit, a proposed schedule, details of similar projects completed within the last three years, two client references, proof of general liability and workers’ compensation insurance, relevant licenses or certifications, and a vendor application if the bidder is not already a City vendor. The awarded work must be completed within 60 days of award; the project overview also states an expected November 2026 start and completion by January 31, 2027.
