Description
The City seeks a contractor to rehabilitate and preserve city streets. Base-bid work includes milling and asphalt resurfacing, pavement repairs, micro-surfacing, crack sealing, asphalt rejuvenation, curb and gutter repairs, sidewalk and ADA curb-ramp improvements, adjustments to utility valve boxes and drainage castings, pavement markings, traffic control, and tree removal. The bid form also includes ten alternate work packages for additional street segments and preservation work. The base-bid contract time is 120 days. The solicitation requires bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount, submitted as a bid bond or certified check, and a completed bid form and non-collusion affidavit. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to the total contract sum, and a certificate of insurance after award. Similar-project experience and other bidder qualification information may be requested by the City within five days of its request.
