Description
The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources is soliciting lump-sum bids from a single-prime contractor for the installation and construction associated with three owner-provided generators and automatic transfer switches at the North Carolina Zoological Park. The base bid covers work at the Veterinary Hospital and Wildlife Rehabilitation Center; two alternates cover the Greenhouse complex and Desert Pavilion. Generators and transfer switches will be stored onsite, and bids must include relocating them to the construction areas. The work also includes demolition and replacement activities, electrical modifications to integrate the generators and transfer switches into the distribution system, and miscellaneous construction items. Bidders must hold the appropriate North Carolina licensing, including the required general-contractor or electrical-contractor classification applicable to the project. A 5% bid deposit or bid bond is required, along with 100% performance and payment bonds for the contract price.
