Description
The City of Winston-Salem is soliciting a contractor to remove approximately 182 existing large water meters in various sizes and furnish and install new Master Meter Octave Ultrasonic Meters. The scope includes field verification, coordination of water-service shutdowns, removal and disposal or return of existing meters, installation of new meters with required fittings and incidental materials, testing, leak checks, communications verification where applicable, site restoration, cleanup, and installation documentation. The contract is structured as an initial period from award through October 30, 2027, with up to four additional 12-month renewal periods. The bidder must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, permits, insurance, and related services. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled, and bids must include the completed proposal, notarized bid authorization/signature page, non-collusion affidavit, and any issued addenda. Bid security is not required; performance and payment bonds are required only for projects exceeding $300,000.
