Description
The Washington State Department of Commerce, Office of Economic Development & Competitiveness, is seeking information to help design a potential grant program for projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions in hard-to-decarbonize sectors and attract private investment and federal funding. Relevant sectors include advanced materials, minerals and metals; aerospace, space, and maritime components; chemicals; food; fuels; electronics and computer components; and other energy-intensive industrial processes. Respondents must provide project, organization, site, contact, cost, matching-fund, sector, and decarbonization-pathway information, followed by descriptions of the project concept, anticipated economic, energy, and climate impacts, community and Tribal engagement, social impacts, and feedback on potential program design. Responses are limited to 500 words or less for each listed question. This is an RFI only and does not obligate the state to award a contract or require participation in future solicitations.
