Description
The City of Ceres is soliciting a contractor for the Parkside Estates Water Main and Service Replacement project. The work includes installing approximately 3,222 linear feet of new 8-inch C900 PVC water main; installing 6-, 8-, and 10-inch gate valves, reducers, tees, and 11 fire hydrant assemblies; and installing 81 one-inch residential water service laterals with meters and meter boxes. The project also requires connections to and abandonment of existing water mains, removal of existing hydrants, meters, and meter boxes, pressure testing and disinfection, and related excavation, backfill, compaction, and restoration. Additional work includes traffic control and public convenience measures, stormwater pollution prevention and best management practices, surveying, monumentation, street sweeping, asphalt and aggregate-base restoration, cross-gutter replacement, and yard restoration. Bidders must use the provided bid forms, possess a valid Class A California contractor's license, provide a bid guarantee equal to 10 percent of the total bid price, and submit the required subcontractor, non-collusion, Iran Contracting Act, bidder experience, and workers' compensation documentation. The contract time is 45 working days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
