No. 2139064 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Rowan County 2027-004 – ADA Depot Loading Platform and Train Shed Salisbury, North Carolina Pursuant to Section 143-129 of the North Carolina General Statutes, Sealed Proposals for the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment for the new construction of the ADA Depot Loading Platform and Train Shed at Dan Nicholas Park, 6800 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC, for Rowan County will be received from qualified bidders by Rowan County, in Conference Room 101 of the Rowan County Administration Building at 130 W. Innes Street, up to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bid proposals will be received from General Contractors. Instructions for submitting Bids and complete plans and specifications for the project may be obtained from Bogle Firm Architecture, Salisbury, NC (pete@boglefirm.com ). Description
Rowan County is soliciting bids for general construction of an ADA depot loading platform and ramp, a wood-frame train shed and maintenance shop, charging stations, concrete bases for crossing arms, and a looped electrical conduit serving crossing arms and convenience outlets. The scope includes demolition, site clearing and earthwork, concrete, masonry, structural and miscellaneous metal work, wood framing and trusses, roofing, siding, doors and windows, finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, storm drainage, erosion control, and related coordination and closeout work. The base bid includes stated allowances, unit pricing for undercut and compacted structural fill, and a six-month (180-calendar-day) construction duration beginning after notice to proceed. Bidders must submit the prescribed Form of Proposal, a 5 percent bid bond or certified check, an AIA A305 Contractor's Qualification Statement, and required minority-business participation forms. Separate performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract price, are required after award.
