The Cherokee Nation Housing Authority is soliciting bids to rehabilitate one home in Cherokee County according to the attached work write-up. The scope includes appliances, carpentry, drywall and finish work, electrical, flooring, masonry and plaster, painting and finish work, and plumbing. The home has tested positive for asbestos-containing material (ACM), and the contractor must follow safe work practices for the areas identified in the ACM report. The work must be completed within 45 working days and must begin within two weeks after notification. The solicitation requires the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and Work Write-Up to be fully completed. Bidders seeking preference must be certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) and submit proof of certification. The solicitation also requires Indian-preference-related statements, employment and training plans, and a core-crew employee list.
