Description
The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority is soliciting proposals for one or more on-call contracts providing contractor-owned snow removal equipment and qualified operators during major winter weather events. Services include plowing, brooming, and treating snow and ice in parking lots, access roads, sidewalks, toll booth entrances, pedestrian tunnels, and other paved landside and service areas, with possible secondary support for runway and taxiway operations. Contractors must furnish equipment, fuel, maintenance, and operators; meet specified activation, mobilization, staging, response-time, and shift requirements; and provide fully loaded operating, standby, and mobilization rates. Proposals are limited to three pages, excluding the cover letter, required forms, exhibits, resumes, and insurance documentation. Required submittals include firm qualifications and recent comparable experience, at least three facility references, an operations and mobilization plan, acknowledgment of the standard contract, insurance documentation or broker confirmation, a completed equipment list with photographs, and a completed rate schedule. The anticipated contract term is three winter seasons, running December 1 through March 31 of each contract year.
