Description
The City of Fond du Lac is seeking a contractor to deploy, activate, and demobilize the City's 486 Advance Security Technologies MVB3x third-generation mobile vehicle barriers for certain public events. The City will stage the barriers at approximate locations, while the contractor supplies sufficient manpower to deploy and activate them before events and demobilize them afterward for City pickup and storage. Approximately 60 events per year currently require this service, although the number may change. Deployment training through Advanced Security Technologies is required. The contractor is responsible for damage caused by negligence, mishandling, or recklessness and must indemnify the City. The agreement begins upon City acceptance, runs through December 31, 2027, and automatically renews annually unless terminated with 90 days' written notice. Pricing must be provided separately for event deployment and demobilization. Insurance is required, including commercial general liability and umbrella or excess coverage with specified $1,000,000 limits, workers' compensation as required by Wisconsin, and employers liability coverage; the City and its officials and employees must be named as additional insureds on applicable policies.
