The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center requires the open inspection, overhaul, calibration, testing, preservation, packaging, marking, and delivery of eight diesel engine governors for 175 WLM Class Buoy Tenders. The governors are Caterpillar Part Number 124-3174, with applicable Woodward part numbers 8540-619 and 8540-569, and must function properly on CAT 3508 propulsion diesel engines with serial number prefixes 9WN and 3HM. Each unit must be overhauled using genuine Woodward parts by Woodward factory-trained service technicians, restored to new-governor performance standards, and tested at an authorized Woodward facility in accordance with the applicable Woodward test specification. The contractor must provide inspection estimates, inspection and test plans, final test reports, calibration and quality records, and required preservation, packaging, bar coding, and crate marking. Delivery is required by November 1, 2026, with FOB destination shipping.
