Description
The University of Maine System, on behalf of the University of Maine at Farmington, is seeking fuel distributors to supply ULSHO fuel to multiple campus locations. Bidders may provide firm fixed-price, pay-as-delivered pricing and/or spot-market index pricing with a transportation and delivery markup. The bid form identifies an estimated total usage of 15,000 gallons and specifies the New York Harbor Barge Mean Index as the preferred market index. The contract is for a 12-month term beginning November 1, 2026, with renewal options. Deliveries will be made to listed campus tanks, generally between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with weekend tanker delivery capability required. The contractor must address furnace restarts and contaminated or depleted-fuel issues, comply with transportation and environmental requirements, provide workplace and environmental safety plans including a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan, and maintain specified commercial general liability, commercial vehicle liability, and workers' compensation insurance.
