Description
Lone Star School District 8 is soliciting bids for Category Two network services and equipment. The scope includes two new 12-port Power over Ethernet switches with three-year licensing, installation, and configuration; the equipment must be compatible with the district’s existing Juniper EX3400 and Aruba 6200F environment, and refurbished equipment is not permitted. Functionally equivalent equipment may be proposed, but bidders must provide compatibility documentation and bid the entire hardware project. The district also seeks managed internal broadband services for existing equipment, including a Palo Alto 850 firewall, Juniper EX3400 and Aruba switches, Aruba wireless access points, and Aruba wireless controllers. Basic maintenance of internal connections is also requested. Bidders must participate in the E-rate program, provide a valid Service Provider Identification Number, offer the lowest corresponding price, include all applicable fees and taxes, and submit the required C2 Cover Page. Awards are contingent on E-rate funding and final board approval.
