Description
The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to drill, sample, screen, develop, and test three to six exploratory wells at locations designated by the City in its municipal well field. Work includes soil sampling and logs, well construction and development, staged drawdown and 24-hour constant-rate pumping tests, and support for water-quality sampling. Wells must meet Wisconsin DNR standards, and the contractor must hold an NR 146 license. The contractor must also permanently seal wells designated as unused or unsuccessful in accordance with applicable standards. Within 10 business days after completion, the contractor must provide a technical report with soil and well-construction profiles, driving-resistance logs, sieve analyses, pumping and recovery data, aquifer calculations, and an engineering projection for a future production well. Bidders must submit per-well unit pricing and a preliminary project schedule; work must be completed by July 31, 2027. A 5% bid security is required.
