Description
The University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire is soliciting bids for recurring kitchen exhaust system cleaning services across 22 locations in the Davies Center, Hilltop Center, Centennial Hall, and Karlgaard Towers. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, protective coverings, cleanup, and disposal necessary to clean complete exhaust systems, including plenums, dampers, fans, fan housings, connecting ductwork, canopy hoods, filters, grease guards, drain pans, and related areas. Services will be scheduled during academic breaks and, where needed, after kitchen areas close. Work includes steam or hot-water cleaning, scraping and degreasing ductwork, chemical cleaning and polishing, inspection documentation, cleaning-date stickers, and restoration of affected areas. The contractor must meet applicable fire, health, OSHA, NFPA 96, licensing, permitting, chemical, and safety requirements; provide chemical SDS information with the bid; and have at least five years of relevant experience serving commercial or institutional entities. Pricing must be submitted per job using the provided cost sheet, including an hourly rate for removable-filter and visible-hood cleaning.
