Description
Pike Road Schools is soliciting sealed bids from general contractors for construction of new storage buildings at Pike Road High School. Bidders must visit the site before submitting a proposal, exclude taxes from their bids, and use the proposal forms furnished by the architect or copies thereof. The project completion time is specified in the project manual. Bidders must maintain general liability and workers' compensation insurance. A certified check or bid bond payable to Pike Road Schools, equal to at least 5% of the bid amount but not exceeding $10,000, must accompany the sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required upon contract signing. Contractors exceeding the applicable Alabama licensing threshold must provide evidence of current general contractor licensure and display the license number on the sealed envelope. Project documents are available through the architect, and only the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual will be accepted for inquiries.
