Description
Pike Road Schools is soliciting sealed bids from general contractors for a road extension project at Pike Road High School. Bidders must visit the site before submitting a proposal, provide general liability and workers’ compensation insurance, exclude taxes from pricing, and submit the architect’s proposal form or a copy. The project completion time is specified in the project manual. A certified check or bid bond payable to Pike Road Schools, equal to at least 5% of the bid amount and capped at $10,000, must accompany the sealed proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required upon contract signing. Contractors exceeding the applicable Alabama licensing threshold must show a current general contractor license number on the outside of the sealed envelope. Project documents are available through the architect’s project bid list, and only the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual will be accepted for inquiries.
