Description
The City seeks a qualified general contractor for parking lot improvements, including asphalt sealcoating, parking-stop installation and removal/reinstallation, pavement markings, sign-support installation, site preparation, traffic control, and cleanup. The plans and specifications define the work and materials; the estimated scope includes sealcoating 20,000 square feet, 3,072 linear feet of white pavement markings, 57 sign installations using signs provided by others, 18 channel-post sign supports, and 25 concrete parking stops. Quantities may be adjusted by the City. The contractor must coordinate work to maintain access and minimize disruption, with traffic control that includes phasing or weekend work as needed. The project requires a 5% bid security, a completed and notarized Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications, a Bid for Physical Improvements with unit pricing, and the City’s combined contracting certification. A performance and payment bond and insurance certificate are required from the selected vendor before award or commencement as specified in the solicitation; the Arkansas contractor’s license is required before contract award.
