Description
Pierce County is soliciting proposals for a full-service food program at the Pierce County Jail and Juvenile Court (Remann Hall). The contractor will operate kitchens at both facilities, providing three meals daily for inmates, detained youth, and correctional staff. Services include meal planning, ordering, preparation, serving, and clean-up, with menus meeting NCCHC nutritional standards. The contract is expected to span 48 months with options for two additional one-year terms. The contractor must provide all staff, who will undergo background checks and security clearance. The jail serves approximately 800 inmates daily, while Remann Hall serves about 25 detainees. The contractor must ensure continuity of services and maintain a five-day emergency food supply.
