Description
The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is seeking qualified sources to provide foam shipping containers in accordance with drawing DWG 7634131. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with FAR part 12. The solicitation number is SPMYM326Q3132. The FSC Code is 8145 and the NAICS code is 326140, with a Small Business Standard of 1000. This is a 100% Small Business Set Aside solicitation, and evaluation will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Offerors are required to submit descriptive literature demonstrating how their quotation meets the specifications. The solicitation includes numerous FAR and DFARS clauses and provisions, including those related to small business representations, cybersecurity, and product verification. Specific requirements for foam containers include material specifications (Polystyrene Foam per MIL-P-60312, Type II, Class 1 with flammability characteristics per UL-94), a minimum density of 2.0 pounds per cubic foot, and that each container consists of two halves.
