Description
The Department of the Navy is seeking to procure 9 ball valves, NSN 4Y-4820-010604891-L1, with Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 003. These valves are to be delivered to N50286, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME 03904. This is a Level 1 item, which must be acquired from approved sources only. Contracts will be awarded to offerors whose inspection systems conform to MIL-I-45208A or equivalent, as certified by a joint DCMA/NAVSUP WSS survey team. Information regarding the MIL-I-45208A requirement can be obtained from NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Code N97122, P.O. Box 2020, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055-0788. This acquisition is set aside 100% for small business concerns. The specific type of set-aside will be detailed in the solicitation, potentially including clauses for HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business, or Historically Black College or University and Minority Institution Set-Aside. Based on market research, the government is not using the policies for the acquisition of commercial items. However, interested parties may identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Depending on the solicitation clauses, this acquisition may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement.
