Description
This solicitation is for a parts kit for a ball valve (NSN 7H-4820-015485705-C1) with TDP VER 005. The quantity required is 20 Each, to be delivered to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME 03904. The material covered in this contract/purchase order will be used in a crucial shipboard system, and the use of incorrect or defective material could result in serious personnel injury, loss of life, or loss of the ship itself. Therefore, the material has been designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured) and special control procedures are invoked to ensure receipt of correct material. The proposed acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The specific type of set-aside will be addressed in the solicitation through inclusion of appropriate clauses. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but any proposals received within 45 days of publication will be considered.
