Description
JEA is soliciting bids for the purchase, fabrication, and delivery of spun concrete transmission poles for the New World Substation 230kV Transmission Line. The bid schedule identifies 11 pole items ranging from 120 to 125 feet in length, with specified embedment depths, structural capacities, designs, quantities, unit prices, extended prices, freight, storage, and a total bid price. The solicitation requires compliance with the accompanying technical specifications and identifies Valmont and Trinity Meyer as currently approved manufacturers. Bidders must submit the completed Response Form and Subcontractor Bid Form. The Subcontractor Bid Form requires listing all major subcontractors, while the JSEB section applies when a JSEB participation requirement exists and the Tier 3 diverse-subcontractor section is optional. Technical submittals required by the technical specifications must also be provided. The solicitation is a one-time purchase continuing through project completion; approval drawings and delivery schedules are due after award.
