Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision for mechanical tree cutting and piling across approximately 271 acres at Peterson Waterfowl Production Area. The work includes identifying trees for removal, cutting them as close to ground level as possible, treating non-cedar stumps with Service-approved herbicide, and placing trees in piles approximately 15 feet high and 50 feet in diameter at least 100 yards inside the property boundary and outside wetlands. Amendment 0001 adds a map of the tree-cutting area and requires offerors to acknowledge receipt of the amendment by completing the applicable portions of the amendment and returning it, acknowledging it on each submitted offer copy, or sending a separate letter or electronic communication referencing the solicitation and amendment numbers. The firm-fixed-price contract is a 100% small-business set-aside, with performance from October 1 through December 30, 2026. Offers will be evaluated on technical capability, similar past experience and performance, and price, with technical conformance weighted more favorably than price. Any anticipated subcontractor must be disclosed with the quotation.
